I just got a filter waterfall and spent like 5 hrs straight setting up my tank, so I'm showing it off whether ya like it or not! LOL

Inhabitants of tank:

1 large adult male white clarkii (underneath the large log, chillin on some cannabis plants)
1 baby male white clarkii (hiding in the bottom right cave)
2 newborn baby green self-cloning crays (prob dead in a stomach or filter somewhere... oh well)
1 red claw crab (on the right, eating some wood)
2 platinum green tiger barbs (hiding underneath the waterfall, in the huge cave)
1 baby piranha (in the nursery because I'm not sure if I should keep it or just return it to the pet shop. Anybody here ever have piranhas and crays live together successfully? It's prob a bad idea and not gonna happen but it'd be cool!)

Here she is...

1 im pretty sure red claws are brackish and if they are they are not compatible with crayfish(freshwater).2 other than that im not sure about the piranha but i dont think so and i have no idea about the barbs. is the tank cycled?

Don't mix species. Bad idea. Sure as heck, keep a fish with big teeth away from white crayfish! No good willcome of that.

@ lakecrawcatcher- it's a red claw for sure... just rechecked at the petstore where they had it in a freshwater setup and mine is doing fine so far! and yes my tank is cycled!

LOL @ lakecrawcatcher. Yea he's doing alright.. I like the lil guy. However, he doesn't seem too intimidated by my monster white clarkii and has come close to death a few times! He just better not mess with my baby white clarkii or else I'm throwin him in with my blue male alleni and let nature takes its course lol.

What are water changes like with all that sand?

LOL not that bad actually! It almost seems convenient from my experiences. Most of their waste and other debris get sucked up by the filter or find a resting place on top of the sand. When I do water changes I just skim the surface of the sand to siphon up the "dirt". Sometimes I get some sand but I'm pretty good at it now and it's not very hard to just suck the sand back into the tank. Refilling the tank just takes some patience. Slow and steady wins the race! :oldman:
