P. acutus], but have never found one in a running creek. Even with a nice stream within a few dozen yards, the acutus were found only in shallow mud-riddled ditches in a field that occasionally floods. We found them by the many dozens there... it was chock-full. Their burrows were prolific. We caught them by simply dragging a hand net along the muddy bottom.
